I'm Home

I can't thank everyone enough for the prayers and good wishes. You folks are simply amazing.

They discharged me from the hospital after I had hemo late this morning. Sent me off with a pharmacy full of new prescriptions -- 7 new ones, plus 2 that I already take. I drew up a little notebook chart to keep track of them until I know what I'm doing. And a stricter diet that I have to keep now that I am on hemo. It's going to take me a while to get used to this, but it will be OK.

The first thing I did when I got settled at home was take a shower. And wash my hair. And shave my legs. Sorry, guys, if that's TMI, but it just felt so good to get back to feeling like myself again, and feeling like a girl again. Emergency haircut and highlight touch-up appointment made for Friday -- nothing like getting your hair done to make you feel human again.

Hospitals are great when you really need to be there ... but I wouldn't want to make them my permanent home.

I'm taking next week off to stay home and recuperate. The doctor thinks I should be ready to return to work the week after. We'll see. Right now, work is the furthest thing from my mind.

Lee Anne,

I'm so happy to hear that you are home and doing better! :-)

Having run herd over dialysis patient stats in a previous job, I've got an inkling of what you're going through. It ain't easy, but you've got a lot of people around the world praying for you.

Hang in there. Depsite what it might feel like at times, God's got your back; His love endures forever.

It is wonderful to hear your voice again.

I am praying for God's help and blessing as you move forward. I am extremely happy you are moving forward.

LeeAnn, I'm so glad to read this! I've been on vacation, and was out of touch during your crisis. I will pray for your continuing improvement. May God bless you, darlin'.

Lee Anne,
I am so glad to hear you are so much improved now and home. Take good care of yourself!

What good news to see that you are home! My day now has a bright spot!

Thanks be to God!

[I was also on vacation on the 8th, and am still trying to get caught up on everything.]

Lee Anne,
I'm real glad to hear you're doing better - and I'm sorry I was out of touch when you were at the hospital. Take good care of yourself, get the rest you need, and you're still in our thoughts and prayers.

Best wishes!

Lee Anne - So glad to hear that you're home now. Peace and healing to you. - AC
