This one from Steve at King’s Kid. Using the letters of your name, list places you’ve been. (This is hard; my name’s too long! And all those E’s are tough.)
Lost Lake Woods Club in Lincoln, Michigan. Our place “up north.”
East Lynn, a little town in Missouri. I’m sure I’ve driven through it at least once on the way to somewhere else.
East Lansing. Home of Michigan State University. Drove through on the way home from Chicago.
Aberestwyth, Wales. I just like the name of the place. Caught the Irish Sea ferry there to sail to Dublin.
New York City. Made several visits there during the 1980s for restaurants and theater; the first time was my first honeymoon.
Niagara Falls. On the way to a fall color tour of the northeast U.S.
East St. Louis. Yep, drove through it on my way through St. Louis en route to Kansas City.
Munich, Germany. During my big European backpacking trip after college.
Independence, Missouri. The town where I grew up.
London, England. During that same backpacking trip, and later for a second visit with my first husband.
Las Vegas. Only once, on a college trip to the National Association of Broadcasters convention
Iowa. Hey, you can have fun anywhere. How could you miss Boys Town and Johnny’s Steak House in Omaha?
New England. That fall color tour I mentioned before.
Galveston, Texas. Spent two summers there on Campus Crusade summer projects when I was in college.
El Dorado, Kansas. Where my first newspaper job was. Home of cowboys and oil refineries. I wasn’t sorry to move away.
Rome, Italy. During the aforementioned European backpacking trip. We hit most of the major cities in two months.
