If you're a friend of mine on Facebook, you may be wondering, "What's up with the photo challenges?" A couple of people have asked, so I may as well explain here. The idea came from a Christian blog that I have discovered recently, Middle Places. It's a group blog written by a variety of women in various stages of life. Middle Places means we are all in the middle of something ... life, child-rearing, retirement planning, joy, grief, coping, etc. This entry explains the details of the September photo challenge, following the theme "A Season of Change."
These truly are challenging for me. I'm a word person. I express myself on the printed (or electronic) page, and I have professionally left it up to those talented art and graphics people to make my words pretty. A photo challenge forces me to think visually, to communicate an idea with an image rather than words. It makes me think in a different way, and that's fun.
A Season for Change, Day 1. Theme: Hands.
